Chestnut honey is found in Spain in the milder regions of the Northern hemisphere and Andalusia.

It is different from other honeys thanks to its dark amber colour. It also has a floral aroma with a distinctive hint of wood, sweet taste with salty undertones, a touch of sour when there is a presence of heather or more acidic if there is a presence of broom.

Another characteristic of chestnut honey is that it crystallizes very slowly.
